Job Description

Summary

Lead senior-level security programs, applying mastery-level expertise in classified environments, ensuring robust security architecture and compliance.

This is a GG-14 (GS-14 equivalent) Senior Security Specialist position focused on national security programs within classified environments.

  • *Responsibilities:**
  • Apply mastery-level knowledge of information, industrial, physical, and personnel security to complex assignments.
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of the Personnel Recovery (PR) mission area.
  • Develop and implement innovative security approaches and procedures for varied projects with multiple classification requirements.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive security programs, including USAF research and technology protection.
  • Manage and guide subordinate security managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
  • Coordinate objectives across specialized security programs to promote information sharing.
  • Develop, analyze, and evaluate security programs to meet classified mission requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with high-ranking officials, both orally and in writing.
  • Plan, organize, and direct functions for large, geographically diverse organizations.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:** At least six years of senior/master-level security experience, including extensive application in multiple classified environments. Must demonstrate mastery-level knowledge of security concepts and the PR mission area.
  • **Knowledge & Skills:**
* Expertise in National-level security programs (information, industrial, personnel) and USAF technology protection. * Advanced knowledge of security training concepts and program management. * Proficiency in developing and evaluating security programs. * Strong written and oral communication skills for senior leadership. * Proven leadership and organizational skills in complex settings.

  • *Additional Requirements:**
  • **Security Clearance:** Must be eligible for a Special-Sensitive designation, including access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP). A non-disclosure agreement is required.
  • **Drug Testing:** This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP); initial and periodic drug testing is mandatory.
  • **Certifications:** Department of Defense (DoD) Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Program Integration Professional Certification required within two years of hire.
