  • *Key Responsibilities (Varies by Level):**
  • Deliver fundamental to complex patient care utilizing knowledge and technical competencies.
  • Integrate biopsychosocial concepts and cognitive skills into practice.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in independent and planned patient management.
  • Exhibit leadership in improving holistic care through collaborative strategies.
  • Apply creative approaches to complex client care management.
  • *Minimum Requirements:**
  • **Language Proficiency:** Proficient in basic written and spoken English.
  • **Education:** Graduate of a professional nursing program accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
* *Note for Master's Bridge Programs:* Individuals completing coursework equivalent to a Bachelor's degree may receive temporary appointment upon state licensure, converting to permanent upon program completion. * *Foreign Graduates:* Must possess a current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration. Degrees higher than an Associate's require formal equivalency validation.
  • **Licensure:** Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
* *Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) Exception:* Candidates meeting education requirements but awaiting licensure may be appointed temporarily (up to 120 days, extendable) while actively pursuing licensure.

  • *Nurse Level & Experience Requirements:**
  • **Nurse I, Level I:** Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing; no additional professional nursing experience required.
  • **Nurse I, Level II:** ADN/Diploma + 1 year of specialized nursing experience; or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • **Nurse I, Level III:** ADN/Diploma + 2 years of professional nursing experience (including 1 year equivalent to Level II); OR BSN + 1 year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to Level II); or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field with a BSN.
  • **Nurse II:** BSN + 2 years of professional nursing experience (equivalent to Level III); OR MSN + 1 year of specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Level III); or Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field with a BSN (no experience required with Doctoral degree).
  • **Nurse III:** MSN + 2 years of specialized nursing experience (including 1 year equivalent to Level II); or Doctoral degree in Nursing + 1 year of specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Level II); or Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN + 1 year of specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Level II).
  • *Preferred Experience:**
  • BSN with 3 years of PACT (Patient Aligned Care Team) experience.
  • *Physical Requirements:**
  • Requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear speech, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving long periods of walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing.
  • Capable of transferring patients and objects (mechanical lifts provided).
  • Potential exposure to infected patients and contaminated materials, requiring protective clothing.
  • Occasional exposure to combative patients.
  • Must complete annual Employee Health requirements.
  • May be required to drive/ride in GSA vehicles for off-site care.
