## Registered Nurse (All Levels)

### Key Responsibilities:

### Basic Requirements:
  • **Language Proficiency:** Proficient in basic written and spoken English.
  • **Education:**
* Graduation from a professional nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE. * *or* Completion of coursework equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Nursing for individuals in a master's level bridge program (temporary appointment prior to full licensure). * *or* Graduates of foreign nursing schools must possess a current, full, active, and unrestricted U.S. RN registration. Formal degree equivalency validation may be required for degrees higher than an associate's.
  • **Licensure:** Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
  • **Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) Exception:** Candidates meeting educational requirements but awaiting licensure may be appointed temporarily (up to 120 days, extendable) while actively pursuing their RN license.
### Grade Level Qualifications (Examples - Specifics Vary by Experience and Education):
  • **Nurse I (Entry Level):** Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with developing clinical skills. Higher levels require 1-2 years of professional nursing experience or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • **Nurse II (Experienced):** Typically requires a BSN with 2+ years of professional nursing experience, or a Master's degree (MSN) with 1+ year experience, or a Doctoral degree. Demonstrates leadership in holistic care.
  • **Nurse III (Advanced/Leadership):** Requires an MSN with 2+ years of specialized experience, or a Doctoral degree with 1+ year specialized experience, demonstrating advanced leadership and complex client care management.

### Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • 3 years of Critical Care experience.
  • 3 years of RN experience with IV therapy/Vascular Access skills (PICC lines, midlines, peripheral lines).
### Physical Requirements:
  • Requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity.
  • Involves potentially long periods of walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing.
  • Ability to transfer patients and objects (mechanical lifts provided).
  • May be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials; ability to don protective clothing.
  • Occasional exposure to combative patients.
  • Must complete annual Employee Health requirements.
  • May require driving/riding in GSA-vehicles for home or off-site care.
