Join our team as a Nurse, delivering patient-centered care across various levels of responsibility.

Basic Requirements:

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
  • Graduation from a professional nursing program accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • For Foreign Graduates: Must possess a current, full, active, and unrestricted U.S. RN license. Higher education equivalency (above associate degree) requires formal validation (e.g., International Consultants of Delaware (ICD)).
  • Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) Exception: Candidates meeting education requirements but awaiting licensure may be appointed temporarily (up to 120 days, extendable up to two years on a case-by-case basis) while actively pursuing licensure.

Nurse Grade & Level Progression (Key Qualifications):

  • Nurse I, Level I: Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing. No additional professional nursing experience required.
  • Nurse I, Level II: ADN/Diploma + 1 year specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Nurse I, Level I); or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional experience.
  • Nurse I, Level III: ADN/Diploma + 2 years professional nursing experience (1 year equivalent to Nurse I, Level II); OR BSN + 1 year professional nursing experience (equivalent to Nurse I, Level II); or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field (with BSN), no additional experience.
  • Nurse II: BSN + 2 years professional nursing experience (equivalent to Nurse I, Level III); OR MSN + 1 year specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Nurse I, Level III); or Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field (with BSN), no additional experience.
  • Nurse III: MSN + 2 years specialized nursing experience (1 year equivalent to Nurse II); or Doctoral degree in Nursing + 1 year specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Nurse II).
  • Note: Foreign education programs/degrees are not creditable as 'related degrees'.
  • Detailed dimension requirements (Practice, Veteran/Patient Driven Care, Leadership, Professional Development, Evidence-Based Practice/Research) are assessed via an online questionnaire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • RN Case Manager certification.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a specialty service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to sit and/or bend for potentially long periods.
