Professional Registered Nurses needed for direct patient care, requiring accredited education and active state licensure across various experience levels.
## Professional Registered Nurse
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to provide direct patient care across various clinical settings. This role involves delivering patient-centered care, integrating biopsychosocial concepts, and applying evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care.
- Integrate biopsychosocial concepts into care delivery.
- Lead and collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance holistic care (for higher grades).
- Apply evidence-based practice and participate in professional development.
- Manage complex patient situations with deliberate planning and self-direction.
- **Education:** Graduate of a professional nursing school accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- **Licensure:** Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth (e.g., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia.
- **Language:** Proficient in basic written and spoken English.
- **Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) Exception:** Candidates who meet educational requirements but do not possess the required licensure may be appointed temporarily as a GNT while actively pursuing RN licensure.
- **Nurse I, Level I:** Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing. No additional professional nursing experience required.
- **Nurse I, Level II:** ADN or Diploma in Nursing and 1 year of specialized nursing experience, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- **Nurse I, Level III:** ADN or Diploma and 2 years professional nursing experience (including 1 year equivalent to Level II), OR BSN AND 1 year experience (equivalent to Level II), or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field with a BSN.
- **Nurse II:** BSN AND 2 years professional nursing experience (equivalent to Level III), OR MSN AND 1 year specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Level III), or a Doctoral degree in Nursing, or a Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN.
- **Nurse III:** MSN AND 2 years specialized nursing experience (including 1 year equivalent to Nurse II), or a Master's degree in a related field with a BSN AND 2 years specialized nursing experience (including 1 year equivalent to Nurse II), or a Doctoral degree in Nursing and 1 year specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Nurse II), or a Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN AND 1 year specialized nursing experience (equivalent to Nurse II).
### Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN with 5 years of Mental Health experience.
- Requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing.
- Capable of transferring patients and objects (mechanical lifts provided).
- Comfortable with exposure to infected patients, contaminated materials, and wearing protective clothing as needed.
- Prepared for occasional exposure to combative patients secondary to delirium, dementia, or psychiatric disorders.
- Completion of annual Employee Health requirements is mandatory.
- May require driving and/or riding in GSA vehicles for off-site care.
