Public Notice For Contract Specialist (Direct Hire)

Join our team as a Contracting Specialist, managing critical acquisition processes

We are seeking candidates at two experience levels:

• *Contracting Specialist (SV-G / GS-11 Equivalent)**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to SV-F or GS-5/7/9 in federal service, or equivalent in the private sector. This experience must include:

* Performing contract management activities (e.g., requirement definition, source selection, execution, pre- and post-award phases). * Analyzing bids/proposals for specification compliance.

• **or Education:** Master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education; OR LL.B./J.D. in a relevant field.
• *Contracting Specialist (SV-H / GS-12 Equivalent)**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to SV-G or GS-11 in federal service, or equivalent in the private sector. This experience must include:

* Applying contracting laws, regulations, principles, and procedures to plan and execute acquisition activities. * Conducting comprehensive contract management tasks, including defining requirements, source selection, execution, pre- and post-award phases, and monitoring contractor performance.

• *Key Requirements for All Levels (GS-1102 Positions E-H)**
• **Certification:** Must achieve Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Professional within 36 months of entry on duty.

* *Note:* DoD Contracting Professional Certification or legacy FAC-C Levels I, II, or III are considered equivalent. FAC-COR certification alone does not meet this requirement.

• *General Qualifications & Application Details**
• **Experience Credit:** Full-time (40-hour week) experience is credited at full value; part-time experience is pro-rated. Qualifying volunteer experience (e.g., National Service programs) is also accepted.
• **Resume:** Provide a detailed narrative of duties with start/end dates (month/year), hours worked per week, and performance level (band/grade) for all work experience.
• **Deadline:** All qualification requirements must be met by the vacancy announcement's closing date.
