Experienced Air Traffic Controller sought for active air traffic separation, requiring recent certification and strict age compliance.

Join our team as an Air Traffic Controller, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of air traffic. This role demands precise application of air traffic control regulations and techniques under varying conditions.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Actively separate air traffic, often in high-stress environments.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of air traffic control laws, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Utilize advanced aircraft separation standards and control techniques.
  • *Mandatory Experience Requirements:**
  • **Minimum of 52 consecutive weeks** of full-time, active air traffic control experience.
  • Experience must be acquired **after** receiving an ATC certification or facility rating.
  • Experience must be within the **last 5 years** from the application date.
  • Experience must be gained at one of the following facilities:
* Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) air traffic control facility * Department of Defense (DOD) civilian or military air traffic control facility (including National Guard) * Tower operating under contract with the FAA (Section 47124)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform required duties, possessing comprehensive knowledge of air traffic laws, separation standards, and control techniques.
  • *Age and Eligibility Requirements:**
  • **Maximum Entry Age:** Must be 35 years of age or below on the closing date of the vacancy (for applicants meeting the 52-week experience requirement).
  • **Mandatory Separation Age:** 56 for career controllers.
  • Must be a **U.S. Citizen**.
  • Applicants who previously failed FAA Academy or field training are generally not considered.
  • *Required Documentation (Submit prior to closing date):**
  • Copies of all relevant ATC certifications or facility ratings.
  • Detailed work history/resume documenting full-time (40 hours/week) ATCS experience for a minimum of 52 consecutive weeks post-certification.
  • **For previous FAA or DOD civilian 2152 controllers:** Copy of Notification of Personnel Action (SF-50) verifying original appointment to the 2152 occupational series *prior to reaching age 35*.
  • If applicable, an SF-50 indicating Certified Professional Controller (CPC) or Full Performance Level (FPL) rating.
