Public Notice - Contract Specialist (Direct Hire)

This role seeks an experienced contracting professional to manage complex procurements within a federal environment.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Apply comprehensive contracting concepts, principles, laws, methods, and techniques.
• Plan, negotiate, lead, and administer complex contracts and procurements for goods, systems, or services.
• Utilize advanced negotiation techniques for a wide variety of complex, new, or unique requirements.
• Negotiate, award, modify, and address performance issues throughout the contract lifecycle.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in contracting or related positions.
• One full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal service level.
• Specialized experience must include all of the following:

* Applying contracting concepts, principles, laws, methods, and techniques to plan, negotiate, lead, and/or administer complex contracts/procurements. * Applying negotiation techniques for a wide variety of complex, new, or unique requirements. * Negotiating, awarding, modifying, and addressing performance issues under contracts.

• *Experience Credit Notes:**
• Experience is credited based on a 40-hour workweek; part-time experience is pro-rated.
• Volunteer experience (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) is recognized and credited for building relevant competencies, knowledge, and skills.
