Summary
Seeking a Public Affairs Specialist (GS-12) to create and edit compelling content and manage social media for complex programs.
Join our team as a Public Affairs Specialist (GS-12) and apply your expert communication skills to effectively disseminate critical information to the public. We are seeking a highly skilled individual to manage diverse communication channels and craft compelling messages for complex programs.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and write a variety of public affairs materials, including news releases, plans, feature stories, fact sheets, and speeches.
- Translate highly technical and complex information into clear, persuasive content, adhering strictly to Associated Press Style.
- Edit and refine publications for accuracy, clarity, and impact across multiple communication platforms.
- Strategize, create, and execute engaging content campaigns for social media platforms.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in public affairs, communications, or a directly related field.
- Proven ability to develop professional written materials (e.g., news releases, speeches) that convey complex information persuasively, following AP Style.
- Demonstrated experience in editing publications for various communication platforms.
- Strong skills in strategizing content for and effectively using social media for public outreach.
