Job Description

Seeking a Communications/Media Specialist to develop, manage, and evaluate strategic outreach and public engagement programs.
This position seeks a skilled Communications and Media Specialist to manage and execute strategic outreach initiatives within the federal sector. **Eligibility:** This role is open only to applicants who meet specific federal employment eligibility categories. Please refer to federal guidelines for detailed requirements (e.g., current DoD/DoDEA civilian employees, veterans, military spouses, specific placement programs). **Key Responsibilities:** **For GS-13:** * Analyze outreach and media engagement activities. * Collaborate with stakeholders to meet communication program needs. * Oversee the production of various communication materials. * Report on the execution of marketing and outreach efforts. **For GS-14:** * Develop comprehensive outreach and media engagement strategies. * Measure the effectiveness of outreach and media engagement programs. * Evaluate and/or develop outreach and media engagement policies. * Implement community and public engagement plans. * Develop online and traditional outreach products and materials. **Required Experience:** * **GS-13:** One year of specialized experience analyzing outreach, collaborating on communication programs, overseeing material production, and reporting on marketing activities. (Typical of work at GS-12 level in federal service). * **GS-14:** One year of specialized experience developing outreach strategies, measuring program effectiveness, evaluating/developing policy, implementing public engagement plans, and creating outreach products.
