Summary

Seeking a certified DoD financial management professional with expertise in financial systems, budgeting, and analysis for a GS-13/15 role.

Join our team as a Financial Management professional within the Department of Defense (DoD), contributing expertise in financial systems, budgeting, and analysis.

  • *About the Role:**
This position requires strong financial acumen and expertise in DoD financial systems and processes. You will play a critical role in financial analysis and management, with responsibilities progressing based on grade level (GS-13, GS-14, GS-15).

  • *Required Certifications:**
  • **DoD Financial Management Certification Program (DFMCP):** Must obtain Level 2 (for GS-13) or Level 3 (for GS-14/15) certification within two years of entry on duty, if not already certified. Continuing education is required once certified.
  • **Accepted Professional Certifications (Alternative):** Active and current status in one of the following can fulfill the DFMCP requirement, with associated continuing education:
* Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) * Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) * Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) * Certified Management Accountant (CMA) * Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • *Qualifications (Time-in-Grade & Specialized Experience):**
Applicants must meet time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements by the announcement closing date.

  • **GS-13:**
* **Time-in-Grade:** 52 weeks at GS-12 or higher in Federal Service. * **Specialized Experience:** At least one year at the GS-12 level (or equivalent outside Federal service) with: * Financial Information Systems and decision support systems. * DoD budget review processes.

  • **GS-14:**
* **Time-in-Grade:** 52 weeks at GS-13 or higher in Federal Service. * **Specialized Experience:** At least one year at the GS-13 level (or equivalent outside Federal service) with: * All GS-13 specialized experience requirements. * Conducting cost-benefit analyses.

  • **GS-15:**
* **Time-in-Grade:** 52 weeks at GS-14 or higher in Federal Service. * **Specialized Experience:** At least one year at the GS-14 level (or equivalent outside Federal service) with: * All GS-14 specialized experience requirements. * Developing, testing, or maintaining Financial Management Information Systems (FMIS).
