## Time and Leave Specialist (GS-11 Equivalent)

  • *Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Time and Leave Specialist to manage and interpret federal time and leave policies, ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective communication across various departments.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Apply and interpret federal time and leave regulations, including FMLA, military duty, jury duty, advanced leave, and sick leave certifications.
  • Manage employee scheduling systems and maintain precise electronic attendance records.
  • Coordinate shift bids and vacation solicitations in compliance with agency policies.
  • Investigate and resolve complex time and leave-related issues.
  • Serve as a primary contact, communicating effectively with employees, supervisors, human resources, and payroll staff on sensitive matters.
  • *Qualifications:**

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, demonstrating proficiency in at least three of the following areas:
* Applying federal time and leave policies. * Managing employee scheduling and attendance records. * Coordinating shift and vacation requests. * Resolving complex time and leave issues. * Communicating effectively on time and leave matters.
  • **Education:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education (LL.M. if related) in a directly relevant field.
  • **Combination:** An equivalent combination of specialized experience and graduate-level education (beyond the first two years) directly related to the position's requirements.

  • *Additional Information:**
  • This position requires a background in applying federal time and leave regulations.
