Summary

Lead the vision, strategy, and development of WMATA's new customer-facing website, focusing on rider experience and real-time information.

Join WMATA/Metro as a Product Manager to lead the strategic vision and development of our brand-new, critical customer-facing website (wmata.com). This pivotal role is not about maintenance, but about redefining digital transit tools, directly impacting millions of daily riders by providing essential real-time service alerts, trip planning, and ETAs.

  • *About the Role:**
  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a high-visibility platform.
  • Drive user-friendly digital experiences using design thinking and a rider-first mindset.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to align priorities and ensure seamless information delivery.
  • Leverage strong technical execution, specifically with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Define core opportunities and problem spaces for the website's user experience.
  • Set and measure customer-centric KPIs for website performance, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Analyze website analytics, user behavior, and feedback to inform optimization decisions.
  • Develop and maintain essential website documentation including content strategy, user journeys, and feature backlog.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring accessibility compliance, performance, and content accuracy.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for technical issues, coordinating with internal and external teams (including Adobe specialists).
  • Manage the website's content roadmap and feature backlog, prioritizing high-ROI solutions.
  • Partner with UX teams for user testing, A/B testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Advise leadership on critical website enhancements and digital infrastructure needs.
  • *Minimum Qualifications:**
  • **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Customer Experience, or a related field.
  • **Experience:** A minimum of seven (7) years of full-cycle website product/project management experience, including:
* Direct experience with enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS), specifically Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). * Demonstrated stakeholder management across IT, operations, and customer-facing departments. * Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team leadership in technology implementation projects. * Strong analytical background developing KPIs and measuring system performance and user adoption. * Experience working with vendors and managing external partnerships for software implementation and support.

  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Professional certification in Product Management, Project Management (PMP), or CRM platforms.
