Summary

Seeking an SES leader for DoD Critical Acquisition, driving program management, strategic oversight, and national security objectives.

Seeking a dynamic leader for a Senior Executive Service (SES) Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) within the Department of Defense. This role requires exceptional expertise to drive complex acquisition programs and strategic initiatives.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • **Acquisition Program Leadership:** Direct acquisition program management and lifecycle planning, focusing on program fundamentals, rapid delivery, and seamless integration into joint warfighter networks to meet COCOM needs.
  • **DoD Corporate Oversight:** Apply deep knowledge of DoD processes including acquisition, program planning, budgeting, and execution (PPBE), requirement planning, congressional engagement, and career field management.
  • **Strategic Enterprise Perspective:** Cultivate a broad understanding of DoD and government-wide strategic priorities, collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve national security objectives.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs):**
* Proven expertise and leadership in acquisition program management and lifecycle planning, specifically in program fundamentals, speed of delivery, and integration into joint complex warfighter networks. * Demonstrated knowledge of DoD Corporate oversight processes: acquisition, PPBE, requirement planning, congressional engagement, DoD acquisition/engineering career field management, and SAP classification. * Possession of an Enterprise Perspective: ability to understand and align responsibilities with DoD/government-wide strategic priorities and partner effectively (information must be embedded in resume).
  • **Certification & Experience:**
* Minimum 10 years acquisition experience in an Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position, including at least 4 years in a CAP. * Advanced level certification in Program Management (or ability to achieve within 48 months). * Commitment to 80 hours of continuous learning every two years. * Agreement to remain in federal service for a minimum of three years.
