Principal Associate, User Experience Research Operations

The Experience Design (XD) Research Operations team is seeking a Principal Research Operations Associate to elevate capabilities and mature practices. This role blends strategic planning and hands-on execution, empowering researchers and designers to focus on high-impact work by building systems for high-quality, accessible design and research insights at scale.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• **Process Optimization:** Lead improvements to increase team efficiency and optimize research practices.
• **Research Governance:** Champion ethical, privacy, and data protection standards across research and design projects.
• **Knowledge Management:** Build and maintain a library of research practices, resources, and templates for consistency.
• **Research Advocacy:** Introduce and advance new ways of evangelizing research across the organization.
• **Project Management:** Understand Research and Design needs, manage systems and logistics for multiple projects, and propose scalable solutions.
• *Basic Qualifications:**
• At least 4 years of experience in UX or Research Operations, project management, or process improvement.
• At least 2 years of experience working directly with Research or Design teams.
• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Strong systems thinking with a track record for establishing high-quality practices for scaling Design and Research teams.
• Strategic acumen to anticipate and solve complex cross-functional problems.
• Excellence in project management, continuous improvement, and delivering impactful outcomes.
• Experience with various research tools and vendors.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and guide peers through ambiguity.
• Ability to balance desired outcomes and risks to design human-centered solutions.
• 4+ years of experience managing risk within highly regulated research environments.
• 4+ years experience with project management tools such as Jira and data visualization tools such as Confluence.
