Job Description

Lead or manage complex privacy initiatives, applying federal laws and building consensus across an agency.
Seeking experienced privacy professionals to manage complex privacy initiatives within a federal agency. This role requires specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 (for GS-14 level) or GS-14 (for GS-15 level) in the Federal service, or comparable private sector experience. **Key Responsibilities & Requirements:** * **Privacy Policy Analysis:** Review complex policies, legislation, and initiatives to identify and address privacy implications. (GS-15: Lead this analysis) * **Legal & Policy Application:** Apply privacy laws (e.g., Privacy Act, E-Government Act, FISMA) and policies to intricate agency actions. * **Cross-Organizational Coordination:** Coordinate on privacy matters within and across organizational structures. (GS-15: Lead this coordination) * **Policy Development:** Develop and draft comprehensive privacy policy documents. (GS-15: Lead this development) * **Consensus Building:** Collaborate with diverse partners to build multi-stakeholder consensus on privacy-related matters across the agency. (GS-15: Lead consensus building at various seniority levels) **Minimum Qualifications (based on GS level):** * **GS-14:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 federal service. * **GS-15:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 federal service, demonstrating leadership in the above areas. **Important Note:** All qualifications, including time-in-grade requirements, must be met by the closing date. Qualifying experience includes paid and unpaid (volunteer) work.
