Job Description
Summary
Seeking Police Officers to enforce laws, ensure public safety, and investigate incidents across multiple experience levels.
This position involves law enforcement duties across various levels, from maintaining order to investigating crimes. Successful candidates will protect life and property, enforce laws, and respond to incidents. Qualifications are tiered based on experience or education.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Maintain order, protect life and property, and enforce laws.
- Preserve peace and ensure public safety.
- Monitor and patrol designated areas.
- Perform access control and property searches.
- Prevent, detect, and investigate criminal acts.
- Gather evidence and prepare detailed reports.
- Respond to emergency and routine service calls.
- *Qualifications by Level:**
- *AD-05 Level:**
- **Option 1: Specialized Experience:** One year of experience (equivalent to AD-04 or GS) demonstrating knowledge of basic laws, rules, and procedures, with responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life/property. Creditable experience includes police, military, loss prevention, or security roles.
- **Option 2: Education:** Bachelor's degree (4 years above high school) in Police Science or a comparable degree (e.g., Criminal Justice, Criminology, Homeland Security) from an accredited institution.
- **Option 3: Combination:** A combination of specialized experience and post-high school education.
- *AD-06 Level:**
- **Specialized Experience:** One year of experience (equivalent to AD-05 or GS) demonstrating knowledge of standardized law enforcement rules, methods, and procedures to prevent or resolve offenses.
- **Required Experience Includes:**
- *AD-07 Level:**
- **Specialized Experience:** One year of experience (equivalent to AD-06 or GS) performing work demonstrating knowledge of investigative procedures, techniques, and methods to detect, investigate, and resolve crimes and incidents.
- **Required Experience Includes:**
- *General Requirements:**
- All experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.
