## Physician (Urology Focus) - Veterans Affairs

### Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to veteran patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with VA medical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- **Citizenship:** Must be a U.S. Citizen. (Non-citizens may be considered in specific circumstances).
- **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved institution.
- **Licensure:** Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- **Residency Training:** Completion of an accredited core specialty residency program (e.g., ACGME, AOA approved) or equivalent foreign training approved by the local Medical Staff Executive Committee.
- **Language:** Proficient in spoken and written English.
- At least one year of Urology experience within the VA system.
- Experience with Tele-Health services.
### Note on Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) Fully licensed physicians currently in ACGME/AOA accredited residency programs may be considered for intermittent or fee-basis PRP appointments, performing restricted duties under supervision. They are not independent practitioners.
