Summary
Seeking a licensed Physician with Internal Medicine/Family Practice board certification/eligibility to provide patient care and resident education.
Join our team as a Physician! We are seeking a dedicated medical professional to provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and resident education. This role requires strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare. Potential for virtual healthcare delivery.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Formulate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.
- Educate and mentor medical residents.
- Provide patient care, including potential telehealth services.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved institution.
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical or surgical license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or DC.
- Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program, or approved equivalent.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Prior primary care experience, especially with the VA Patient-Aligned Care Team (PACT) Model.
- Interest or experience in rural primary care and improving access to care in underserved communities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical/health records (EMR/EHR).
- Basic technical facility with computer programs, video conferencing, and telehealth.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills for virtual team collaboration.
- Ability to navigate systems challenges in a virtual healthcare setting.
- *Physical Requirements:**
- Physically and mentally capable of performing duties, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and resident education.
- Primarily involves sitting.
- Must be emotionally and mentally stable.
