Physician (Regular Ft) Primary Care Physician Team Leader

This Physician role requires a dedicated medical professional to provide comprehensive patient care.

Key Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship is required (non-citizens may be considered under specific VA policy).
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved medical school.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty program (ACGME, AOA, or approved non-U.S. residencies with 5+ years U.S. practice).
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Board Certification.
• Prior VHA (VA Health Administration) experience, especially in Primary Care.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform intermittent lifting (up to 35 lbs, with assistive devices for over 35 lbs), moderate carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching above shoulders, walking, standing, kneeling, and repeated bending.

• Applicants pending completion of training or license requirements may be referred but cannot be hired until all requirements are met.
• Currently employed VA physicians who met previous qualification standards are considered to have met basic requirements.
• Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) who are fully licensed (not training license) may be appointed on an intermittent or fee-basis under supervision.
