Summary
Seeking a licensed Physician with accredited residency and English proficiency to provide patient care within a VA setting.
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a dedicated Physician to provide comprehensive medical care to veterans. This role involves direct patient care, potentially including telehealth and off-site services, within a dynamic healthcare environment.
- *Key Qualifications:**
- **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved institution.
- **Licensure:** Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia.
- **Residency:** Completion of VA-approved residency training (ACGME/AOA accredited or equivalent with 5+ years verified U.S. practice).
- **Language:** Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizenship required (non-citizens may be considered per VA policy).
- *Preferred Experience:**
- 2+ years of recent PACT VA experience.
- 2+ years of VA Telehealth experience (VVC/CVT).
- *Physical Requirements & Work Environment:**
- Requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear speech, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
- Capable of transferring patients and objects.
- Potential exposure to infected patients, contaminated materials, and combative individuals; requires donning protective clothing.
- Must be a mature, flexible professional capable of adapting to stressful situations and shifting priorities based on patient needs.
- Completion of annual employee health requirements (e.g., TB screening) is mandatory.
- May require driving and/or riding in GSA-vehicles for off-site patient care.
