Summary
Dedicated Physician (Psychiatrist preferred) sought by VA; requires US citizenship, MD/DO, unrestricted license, and completed residency.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a dedicated Physician to provide comprehensive medical care. This role involves direct patient interaction, including managing complex and potentially challenging cases, and adhering to strict safety protocols. Candidates with experience in Psychiatry, telework, and mental health rehabilitation programs are highly encouraged to apply.
- *Key Requirements:**
- **Citizenship:** United States Citizenship required (non-citizens may be considered under specific VA policy).
- **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved medical school.
- **Licensure:** Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- **Residency:** Completion of VA-approved residency training (e.g., ACGME/AOA accredited) leading to eligibility for board certification.
- **Language:** Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- *Preferred Experience:**
- 2+ years of Psychiatry experience.
- 2+ years of telework experience.
- Experience with Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (RRTP).
