Job Description
Summary
Physician sought with MD/DO, valid license, and accredited residency for medical practice within the VA system.
Join our team as a Physician, providing essential medical and surgical care within the VA system. We are seeking dedicated professionals committed to serving our veterans.
- *Requirements:**
- **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizenship required; non-citizens may be considered per VA policy.
- **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved institution.
- **Licensure:** Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- **Residency Training:** Completion of an accredited core specialty residency program (ACGME/AOA approved or equivalent). Equivalent programs include non-U.S. residency with five years of verified U.S. practice, approved by the local Medical Staff Executive Committee. Note: Board certification may be required for academic faculty roles.
- **Language:** Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- *Physical & Environmental Requirements:**
- Ability to perform light carrying (under 15 lbs), reach above shoulder, use fingers, walk/stand (up to 4 hours), and distinguish basic colors/shades.
- Work environment primarily involves working alone.
