Physician (Diagnostic Radiologist)

• *Requirements:**
• **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizenship required; non-citizens may be considered per VA policy.
• **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved institution.
• **Licensure:** Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• **Residency Training:** Completion of an accredited core specialty residency program (ACGME/AOA approved or equivalent). Equivalent programs include non-U.S. residency with five years of verified U.S. practice, approved by the local Medical Staff Executive Committee. Note: Board certification may be required for academic faculty roles.
• **Language:** Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• *Physical & Environmental Requirements:**
• Ability to perform light carrying (under 15 lbs), reach above shoulder, use fingers, walk/stand (up to 4 hours), and distinguish basic colors/shades.
• Work environment primarily involves working alone.
• *Note for Resident Providers (PRPs):**

Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) may be appointed on an intermittent or fee-basis. Eligible candidates include fully licensed residents in ACGME/AOA accredited programs or surgery residents in gap years. PRPs operate under supervision and are not considered independent practitioners.
