Summary

Experienced, licensed Physician (MD/DO) for the VA, specializing in diagnostic radiology and independent patient care.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking dedicated Physicians to provide high-quality medical care to our nation's veterans. This role requires a commitment to excellence and comprehensive medical expertise.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients.
  • Perform general and specialized medical functions and procedures.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • *Essential Requirements:**
  • **Citizenship:** United States Citizenship is required. Non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens are unavailable per VA policy.
  • **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved educational institution.
  • **Licensure:** Possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
  • **Residency Training:** Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty program leading to eligibility for board certification.
* Approved residencies include those by ACGME, AOA, or specific non-U.S. programs with verified U.S. practice.
  • **Language:** Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Experience with cross-sectional body imaging.
  • Ability to perform general duties and specialized functions and procedures without supervision.
  • *Physical & Environmental Requirements:**
  • Ability to use fingers; specific near and far vision requirements (correctable to Jaeger 1-4 and 20/20 & 20/40 respectively).
  • Depth perception, ability to distinguish basic colors and shades.
  • May involve protracted or irregular hours of work.
