Summary
Experienced, licensed Physician (MD/DO) for the VA, specializing in diagnostic radiology and independent patient care.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking dedicated Physicians to provide high-quality medical care to our nation's veterans. This role requires a commitment to excellence and comprehensive medical expertise.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients.
- Perform general and specialized medical functions and procedures.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- *Essential Requirements:**
- **Citizenship:** United States Citizenship is required. Non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens are unavailable per VA policy.
- **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved educational institution.
- **Licensure:** Possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- **Residency Training:** Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty program leading to eligibility for board certification.
- **Language:** Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written English.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Experience with cross-sectional body imaging.
- Ability to perform general duties and specialized functions and procedures without supervision.
- *Physical & Environmental Requirements:**
- Ability to use fingers; specific near and far vision requirements (correctable to Jaeger 1-4 and 20/20 & 20/40 respectively).
- Depth perception, ability to distinguish basic colors and shades.
- May involve protracted or irregular hours of work.
