Join the Department of Veterans Affairs and contribute to providing exceptional healthcare for our nation's veterans. We are seeking a qualified Physician, ideally with radiology experience, to join our team.
### Essential Qualifications:
- **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizenship is required. Non-citizens may be considered if qualified citizens are unavailable.
- **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved medical school.
- **Licensure:** Possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- **Residency:** Completion of residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, in an accredited core specialty program leading to eligibility for board certification (ACGME/AOA approved). Non-U.S. residency training requires a minimum of five years of verified U.S. practice and local Medical Staff Executive Committee approval.
- **Language:** Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Fellowship training in Body Imaging, Neurology, or Musculoskeletal Radiology.
- Proven ability to read and interpret various medical images, including plain films, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), and Ultrasound (US).
### Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to perform duties involving moderate lifting (15-44 lbs), light carrying, pulling, reaching, use of fingers/hands, walking, standing, bending, coordination, specific vision (near, far, depth, color distinction), and hearing (aid permitted).
