Join our team as a Physician Assistant-III (PA-III), a full-performance role critical to leading and coordinating patient care across our multidisciplinary healthcare system. This position demands advanced clinical judgment and expertise, often involving mentorship and training responsibilities.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Independently lead and organize patient care within multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate all aspects of patient care across the health system.
- Apply advanced clinical knowledge and judgment in decision-making and outcome evaluation.
- Serve as a clinical expert, potentially mentoring transitioning PAs and training healthcare students.
- Evaluate patient care delivery systems to identify barriers and ensure safe, effective care.
- Demonstrate elevated expertise and autonomy in diagnosing and treating seriously ill, multi-symptomatic patients.
- Present clinical findings and recommendations to appropriate management.
- Collaborate with health professionals and managers to facilitate patient care delivery.
- Implement and initiate clinical changes to established treatment protocols based on new medical literature.
- Participate in PA patient care audit processes, including in-depth medical record review.
- *Requirements:**
- **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizenship.
- **Language:** Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- **Experience & Education (Meet ONE of the following):**
- **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):** Demonstrated ability to clinically evaluate systems, independently diagnose/treat complex patients, present findings, collaborate, implement clinical changes, and participate in audits. (Ability to develop/acquire un-met KSAs upon appointment is acceptable).
- *Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (45+ lbs), heavy carrying, intermittent straight pulling/pushing, reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, and requiring both hands.
- Capable of walking/standing for 8 hours, occasional kneeling/repeated bending, and requiring both legs.
- Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.
- Far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and 20/40 in the other; specific visual correction for fine print; ability to distinguish basic colors and shades.
- Hearing (aid permitted) and mental/emotional stability.
