Job Description
Summary
Seeking Physician Assistants (PA-I to PA-III) to provide comprehensive patient care, requiring PANCE certification and state licensure.
Join our healthcare team as a Physician Assistant, contributing to comprehensive patient care across various performance levels from entry-level to full-performance. We seek dedicated PAs to deliver high-quality healthcare.
- *Responsibilities (vary by grade level, PA-I to PA-III):**
- Conduct patient histories and physical examinations.
- Formulate and implement patient treatment plans.
- Provide care aligned with current medical advancements.
- Analyze and resolve complex medical problems.
- Function autonomously and make independent medical decisions.
- Incorporate telehealth into patient care delivery.
- Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Lead and organize patient care independently (Full Performance).
- Utilize advanced clinical knowledge and judgment in decision-making and outcome evaluation (Full Performance).
- Evaluate patient care delivery systems and identify improvement areas (Full Performance).
- Implement and initiate clinical changes to treatment protocols (Full Performance).
- Participate in patient care audit processes (Full Performance).
- *Basic Requirements (Applicable to all grades):**
- Master's degree in any discipline or Bachelor's degree in any discipline with one year of Physician Assistant experience.
- Successful completion of the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) or actively in the process of taking the exam.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- *Preferred Experience:**
- Minimum 3 years of Primary Care healthcare provider experience.
- Minimum 1 year of VA Primary Care healthcare provider experience.
- Minimum 1 year of Telehealth healthcare experience.
- *Grade Determinations (PA-I, PA-II, PA-III):**
- **PA-I (Entry Level):** Meets basic requirements, demonstrates fundamental PA practice abilities.
- **PA-II (Intermediate Level):** Requires 2+ years successful PA practice or completion of a PA post-graduate residency or a doctoral degree in a health-related field. Demonstrates ability to analyze complex problems and function autonomously.
- **PA-III (Full Performance Level):** Requires 3+ years successful PA practice or completion of a PA post-graduate residency + 1 year PA practice or a doctoral degree + 1 year PA practice. Leads patient care, utilizes advanced judgment, and contributes to system improvements.
- *Physical Requirements:**
- Light to moderate lifting (up to 44 pounds).
- Use of fingers, walking (4-6 hours), standing (4-6 hours).
- Near vision correctable at 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4.
- Far vision correctable in one eye to 20/20 and to 20/40 in the other.
- Ability to distinguish basic colors and hearing (aid permitted).
