Job Description

Summary

Seeking a certified Law Enforcement Officer to provide security, conduct investigations, and protect personnel and property.

Join our team as a Law Enforcement Officer (USAJOBS Title) at the (Pay Plan - Series - Grade Range) level. This role involves comprehensive security and protective duties, with non-competitive promotion potential to a target grade.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Perform law enforcement duties to protect personnel and property.
  • Implement and plan physical security procedures and protective methods.
  • Conduct investigations and take appropriate corrective actions based on threat levels.
  • Interpret risk detection and assessments, notifying relevant authorities of potential threats.
  • Coordinate actions with local and federal law enforcement agencies during investigations.
  • *General Requirements:**
  • Meet all qualification requirements and time-in-grade by the closing date.
  • **Federal Employees:** Current/former permanent competitive service employees must demonstrate one year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade level and submit an applicable SF50.
  • **Assessment:** Complete a USA Hire assessment within 48 hours of the closing date.
  • Your resume must clearly support your qualifications; failure to do so may result in ineligibility.
  • *Mandatory Selective Placement Factor:**
  • Completion of a civilian or military police academy certificate.
  • At least one year of experience as a certified law enforcement officer.
  • *Specific Grade Level Requirements:**
  • *GS-11:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 level (or equivalent) assisting with security procedures and performing law enforcement duties for protection.
  • **Education:** Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M (if related).
  • **Combination:** A computed combination of specialized experience (less than one year) and graduate education (more than two, less than three years) totaling at least 100% of the requirements.
  • *GS-12:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level (or equivalent) demonstrating proficiency in at least three of the following:
* Providing physical security, investigations, and corrective actions. * Planning and implementing physical security protective methods. * Interpreting risk detection and assessments, notifying authorities. * Coordinating with other law enforcement agencies during investigations.
