Personnel Security Specialist (Adjudicator)

This role involves applying expertise in personnel suitability and security adjudication processes, contributing to the integrity of our security programs. We are seeking professionals adept at navigating complex security guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of suitability factors and security adjudicative guidelines.
• Utilize and apply knowledge of the Continuous Vetting program.
• (For GS-11 only): Interpret and apply a wide range of personnel security regulations, policies, procedures, and principles.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in writing.

Qualifications:

GS-09 Level:

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07, applying suitability factors, security adjudicative guidelines, and Continuous Vetting concepts, alongside strong written communication skills.
• or a Master's or equivalent graduate degree (or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education), LL.B., or J.D. in a related field.

GS-11 Level:

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09, encompassing the application of suitability factors, security adjudicative guidelines, Continuous Vetting, and the interpretation of personnel security regulations, with strong written communication skills.
• or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education), or LL.M. in a related field.

Relevant specialized experience from federal, state, or local government, or equivalent public/private sector, is highly valued and must be clearly demonstrated in your resume.
