Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize and maintain automated personnel security and suitability systems.
• Review investigation records to determine compliance with security, suitability, and Line of Sight Supervision (LOSS) standards.
• Identify and analyze derogatory information requiring further review or investigation.
• Resolve complex personnel security issues.
• Evaluate the impact of derogatory information to grant or deny interim eligibility or LOSS.
• Investigate and analyze various conditions related to personnel security, suitability, and childcare background investigations.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet specific education and/or experience requirements for the GS-11 or GS-12 level. Your resume must clearly describe relevant experience; transcripts are required if qualifying based on education for the GS-11 level.

GS-11 Level Requirements:

• Experience: One year of specialized experience including:

- Utilizing and maintaining personnel security/suitability automated systems. - Reviewing investigation records for security, suitability, and LOSS standards. - Identifying the presence or absence of derogatory information requiring review or investigation.

• Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education.
• Combination: A computed combination of qualifying education and experience.

GS-12 Level Requirements:

• Experience (Mandatory - No Education Substitution): One year of specialized experience including:

- Resolving complex personnel security issues. - Reviewing the impact of various derogatory information to grant or deny interim eligibility or LOSS. - Investigating or analyzing conditions associated with personnel security, suitability, and childcare background investigations.
