Personnel Security Specialist
We are seeking dedicated U.S. Citizens to join our team as Personnel Security Specialists. This crucial role maintains national security by ensuring the suitability and eligibility of individuals for federal positions. We value all qualifying experience, including volunteer work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize and maintain automated personnel security and suitability systems.
- Review investigation records to determine compliance with security, suitability, and Line of Sight Supervision (LOSS) standards.
- Identify and analyze derogatory information requiring further review or investigation.
- Resolve complex personnel security issues.
- Evaluate the impact of derogatory information to grant or deny interim eligibility or LOSS.
- Investigate and analyze various conditions related to personnel security, suitability, and childcare background investigations.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet specific education and/or experience requirements for the GS-11 or GS-12 level. Your resume must clearly describe relevant experience; transcripts are required if qualifying based on education for the GS-11 level.GS-11 Level Requirements:
- Experience: One year of specialized experience including:
- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education.
- Combination: A computed combination of qualifying education and experience.
GS-12 Level Requirements:
- Experience (Mandatory - No Education Substitution): One year of specialized experience including:
