Personnel Security Specialist

Join our team to manage critical security investigations and background checks. This role requires independent judgment in processing sensitive requests and advising leadership on security clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently review, submit, and process complex background checks and investigations.
• Utilize and manage automated security systems, including OPM e-QIP, Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), and Defense Information System Security (DISS).
• Enroll and oversee staff participation in the Continuous Evaluation System (CES).
• Advise management on critical security issues, including clearance suspension, withdrawal, or revocation processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 federal service level. This experience must demonstrate proficiency in:

- Independently managing complex background checks and security investigations. - Operating automated security systems (e.g., e-QIP, SWFT, DISS). - Administering Continuous Evaluation Systems (CES). - Providing expert advice on security clearance processes.
