Summary
Provide crucial legal, administrative, and technical support for federal investigations and prosecutions as a GS-11 Legal Support Specialist.
Join our team providing essential legal, administrative, and technical support for federal investigations and prosecutions at the GS-11 level. We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist attorneys through all stages of the litigation process.
- *Responsibilities:**
- Provide comprehensive legal, administrative, and technical support for investigations and prosecutions.
- Conduct thorough legal and factual research to support cases.
- Prepare and manage evidence and exhibits for legal proceedings.
- Draft various legal documents, including motions, search warrants, arrest warrants, and documentation related to acquiring evidence and testimony.
- Prepare grand jury and trial subpoenas, along with necessary attachments.
- Offer crucial in-courtroom presentation of exhibits and trial support.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external law enforcement partners and court personnel.
- Maintain and utilize legal databases and software systems efficiently.
- *Requirements (GS-11 Level):**
Candidates must meet at least one of the following conditions:
- **Specialized Experience:** One full year of experience equivalent to the GS-9 level. This experience must demonstrate knowledge of the litigation process, federal and local court rules, and procedures, including performing duties similar to those listed above.
- **Education:** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree (or LL.M.) in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- **Combination:** A combination of specialized experience and graduate-level education that, when combined, equals 100% of the requirements.
