Operations Research Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical Operations Research Analyst to apply advanced quantitative methods to solve complex organizational challenges.

• *Responsibilities:**
• Apply diverse analytical techniques to a variety of projects.
• Utilize operations research methods, including mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, linear/nonlinear programming, simulation, decision support methodologies, and probability theory.
• Employ advanced mathematical and scientific management analysis techniques to resolve complex project components.
• Develop data-driven recommendations based on study results.
• Provide management with new decision support systems, strategic business information, and predictive advice for resolving operational system problems.
• *Qualifications:**
• **Education:**

* Bachelor's degree in Operations Research; or * At least 24 semester hours in a combination of Operations Research, Mathematics, Probability, Statistics, Mathematical Logic, or Science, with substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. This must include at least 3 semester hours of Calculus. * Relevant coursework may include Optimization, Mathematical Modeling, Queueing Theory, Econometrics, Computer Science, or other comparable quantitative analysis courses requiring college-level mathematics or statistics. * Knowledge of probability and statistics is highly desirable.

• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience (equivalent to a GS-11 level in federal service or similar in the private sector) that includes:

* Applying analytical techniques to solve various projects. * Utilizing operations research techniques such as mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and simulation. * Applying advanced mathematical and scientific management analysis to complex problems. * Developing recommendations and providing strategic decision support to management.
