Summary
Experienced ICU Registered Nurse sought to deliver comprehensive critical care and manage complex medical equipment.
Join our team as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse (GS-12) to provide critical care to patients. This role requires dedicated professionals ready to manage complex medical equipment and administer life-saving medications.
- *Responsibilities:**
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Operate and monitor complex medical equipment essential for critically ill patients.
- Administer medications accurately and safely.
- *Requirements:**
- **Citizenship:** Must be a US Citizen.
- **Education:** A graduate or higher level, bachelor's, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program (accredited by CCNE, COA, ACME, or a U.S. Department of Education recognized body). *Official transcripts are required.*
- **Licensure:** Possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted professional nurse license from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory. Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). *A copy of your license is required.*
- **Foreign Degrees:** If your degree is from a foreign nursing school, official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) is mandatory.
- **Experience:** A minimum of one full year of professional nursing experience, specifically within an Intensive Care Unit. This experience must include providing comprehensive patient care, operating complex medical equipment, and administering medications to critically ill patients. *Note: Education cannot be substituted for this required experience.*
- **Federal Employee Exemption:** Current federal employees in the 0610 occupational series who have been continuously employed since September 27, 2017, or before, are exempt from the basic education/licensure requirements. However, you must provide documentation of a professional nursing program diploma approved by a state accrediting agency at the time of completion and active, current registration as a professional nurse.
