Job Description
Seeking a qualified Clinical Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care and manage specialized medical equipment.
To qualify for this Nurse (Clinical) position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
**Basic Requirements:**
* **Education:** A graduate, bachelor's, associate, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing program is required. Programs must be accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or a U.S. Department of Education recognized body. (Transcripts required)
* **Licensure:** Possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted professional nurse license/registration from a U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory. Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). (License verification required)
* **Foreign Graduates:** Completion of the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) Certification Program is required, including credentials evaluation, the CGFNS Qualifying Exam, and approved English Language Proficiency examination. (CGFNS Certificate required)
**Additional Qualification Requirements (beyond Basic):**
* **Option 1 (Experience):** A diploma, associate, or bachelor's degree in Nursing AND at least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to GS-9 level or above). This experience must include providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, monitoring/operating specialized equipment, and administering medications.
* **Option 2 (Education):** A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field.
**Federal Employee Exemption:**
* Current federal employees in the 0610 occupational series, continuously employed since September 27, 2017, or before, are exempt from the above basic and qualification requirements. (Documentation required)
