Summary

Federal Professional Nurse opportunity delivering comprehensive patient care, requiring an accredited degree, active license, and relevant experience.

We are seeking a dedicated Professional Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care, including monitoring specialized equipment and administering medications.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients.
  • Monitor and operate specialized medical equipment.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively.
  • *Requirements:**
  • **Citizenship:** Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • **Education:**
* Graduate or higher level degree, Bachelor's, Associate's, or Diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program (accredited by CCNE, COA-NAEP, ACME, or U.S. Dept. of Education recognized body). * **or** A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field.
  • **Licensure:** Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
  • **Examination:** Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
  • **Foreign Graduates:** Must have completed the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) Certification Program (including credentials evaluation, CGFNS Qualifying Exam, and approved English Language Proficiency exam).
  • **Experience (if not holding a PhD):** At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to GS-9 or above) that includes comprehensive patient care, specialized equipment monitoring, and medication administration.
  • *Exemptions:**
  • Current federal employees in the 0610 occupational series continuously employed since September 27, 2017, or before, are exempt from the basic education and experience requirements.
  • *Documentation Required:**
  • Official transcripts.
  • Copy of professional nursing license or verification.
  • CGFNS Certificate (if applicable).
  • Appropriate documentation for federal employee exemption (if applicable).
