Summary

Ensure nuclear safety through regulatory oversight of byproduct materials, applying engineering and health physics principles.

We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to nuclear safety through the rigorous oversight and regulation of byproduct materials. This role involves applying engineering and health physics principles to critical regulatory assessments.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Review and assess byproduct materials licensing applications.
  • Apply nuclear safety principles and NRC regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Identify, analyze, and develop conclusions on regulatory programs, radiological device designs, and radiation safety controls.
  • Propose sound regulatory approaches to address identified safety issues.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:** Minimum one year of specialized experience in engineering, health physics, or byproduct materials regulation, demonstrating knowledge of nuclear safety principles and NRC regulations.
  • **Technical Expertise:** Strong understanding of engineering, health physics, or byproduct materials regulation to evaluate programs, designs, and safety controls.
  • **Communication Skills:** Proven ability to communicate complex technical analyses, issues, and recommendations clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • **Collaboration & Interpersonal Skills:** Demonstrated ability to interact, negotiate, and build consensus with diverse teams and stakeholders across all organizational levels.
