Summary

Lead PR and communications for a global law firm, managing brand, media relations, content, and internal communications.

WilmerHale seeks a Public Relations and Communications Manager to execute comprehensive PR and communications programs for a leading international law firm. This role supports business goals, advances brand reputation, and manages internal and external communications.

  • *Location:** Washington, D.C.
  • *Salary Range:** $139,920 - $174,900 USD
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Execute and manage the firm's communications and public relations program, aligning with business goals.
  • Advance firm reputation and brand through website strategies, blog oversight, awards/surveys, and social media.
  • Manage internal communications efforts and contribute to the public relations team.
  • Oversee production of diverse digital and print promotional materials, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Identify and create proactive media opportunities for the firm and its lawyers.
  • Supervise responses to editorial surveys and awards programs.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing/business development teams and manage external agencies/consultants.
  • Develop communication programs grounded in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • **Experience & Education:**
* Bachelor’s degree required. * 7-10 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism. * Law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred. * Previous experience successfully managing direct reports preferred.
  • **Required Skills:**
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams. * Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong business writing. * Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. * Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism. * Precise attention to detail and extraordinary organizational skills. * Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. * Flexibility to travel to other firm locations as needed.
