Manager

This interdisciplinary position seeks a professional engineer or naval architect to lead surface ship design and technology advancement. Candidates should possess a strong background in naval architecture principles and demonstrate leadership in managing resources or personnel for complex maritime projects.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Provide leadership in the seakeeping, maneuvering, testing, and research of surface ships.
• Apply a wide range of naval architecture principles to drive design and technology improvements.
• Manage project resources and/or personnel effectively.
• *Qualifications:**
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the Federal GS-12/13 (ND-4 pay band) or comparable private/public sector experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing personnel or resources.
• Proven ability to apply naval architecture principles and lead initiatives for surface ship design and technology improvement (seakeeping, maneuvering, testing, research).
• Applicable occupational series include General Engineering (0801), Mechanical Engineering (0830), Electronics Engineering (0855), or Naval Architecture (0871).
