Legislative Affairs Specialist supporting federal policy through legislative research, analysis, and program implementation.
We are seeking dedicated Legislative Affairs Specialists to contribute to federal policy and program initiatives. This role involves in-depth legislative analysis, congressional engagement, and strategic program support across various levels.
- *Responsibilities:**
- Interpret legislative processes and procedures to guide federal programs.
- Prepare and respond to official legislative correspondence.
- Conduct comprehensive research on Congressional activities for strategic presentations.
- Provide input for implementing legislative priorities in federal government programs.
- Implement procedures to enhance productivity in assigned policy-related program areas.
- Analyze evolving Congressional activities and initiatives to inform decision-making.
- *Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized experience (e.g., at GS-9, GS-11, or GS-12 equivalent) demonstrating expertise in legislative interpretation, correspondence, Congressional research, policy implementation, and program efficiency.
- **Education (for GS-11 consideration):** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, LL.M., or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education relevant to the position.
- **Combination:** A computed combination of qualifying education and experience is also acceptable.
