Lead UX/UI Designer to create customer-centric solutions, mentor teams, and drive design strategy within a collaborative environment.
GEICO is seeking an accomplished and customer-obsessed **Lead UX/UI Designer**. This role involves collaborating with business, engineering, and product management to lead design programs from user research to usability studies, focusing on high-quality, customer-centric solutions that drive strategic business outcomes.
As a Lead UX/UI Designer, you will lead and mentor project design teams, align priorities with product management, and contribute to a multi-disciplinary design and research team valuing human-centered design.
This is a **hybrid position** requiring 2-3 days on-site at one of the following locations: Chevy Chase, MD; New York City, NY; Chicago, IL; Palo Alto, CA; Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to identify customer and business needs.
- Translate complex ideas into intuitive product experiences.
- Provide clear direction and input on product prioritization, supporting early product definition.
- Champion the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testing.
- Facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business alignment.
- Drive end-to-end product design, including problem framing, insight development, and new methodology design.
- Create process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and user interface specifications.
- Deliver design assets for acceptance, development, and market launch, in partnership with engineering.
- Teach, mentor, and guide other designers.
- *Qualifications:**
- **Basic:** 8+ years of experience in User Experience (UX) design.
- **Preferred:**
- *Annual Salary Range:** $120,950.00 - $212,175.00.
