Summary
Seeking a Landscape Architect to design and document projects using AutoCAD and prepare specifications.
## Landscape Architect (GS-09/11)
We are seeking a skilled Landscape Architect to design and document a variety of landscape projects. This role involves comprehensive design work, utilizing advanced CAD software, and developing critical project documentation.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare drawings and presentation documents for landscape concept and schematic designs.
- Utilize AutoCAD to produce detailed design documents, including layout plans, planting plans, grading plans, and construction details.
- *(For GS-11 only)* Prepare or edit construction specifications.
- *(For GS-11 only)* Prepare construction cost estimates.
- *Basic Requirements (for all levels):**
- **Education:** A degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Design.
- *or*
- **Combination:** Equivalent experience under professional leadership, including original landscape design, which can substitute for required education year-for-year.
- *Additional Requirements (GS-09 Level):**
- **Experience:** At least one year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-07 level, which includes:
- *or*
- **Education:** Completion of at least two years of progressively higher-level graduate education (Master's or equivalent).
- *or*
- **Combination:** A blend of the experience and education described above.
- *Additional Requirements (GS-11 Level):**
- **Experience:** At least one year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-09 level, which includes:
- *or*
- **Education:** Completion of at least three years of progressively higher-level graduate education (Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree).
- *or*
- **Combination:** A blend of the experience and education described above.
- Your resume must clearly detail job duties, responsibilities, employment dates (month/year), and hours worked per week for each position.
- Full-time experience is credited at 40 hours per week; part-time hours are prorated.
- Volunteer experience that builds relevant competencies is valued and accepted.
- Transcripts are required to verify all education-based qualifications.
