Journeyman Cloud Computing Specialist/ Web Application Developer

Cherokee Nation System Solutions is seeking a Journeyman Cloud Computing Specialist/Web Application Developer to join an agile product delivery team. This role involves building cloud-native solutions and web applications that meet mission requirements, while balancing security, financial, architectural, and business impacts.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Design and develop cloud-based applications, leveraging AWS native services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Glue, SageMaker, Cognito, RDS, S3, CodePipeline, Fargate, and DataLake.
• Develop APIs and integrate various applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Ingest, visualize, and integrate data sets into cloud-deployed solutions.
• Develop front-end user stories using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Configure and customize WordPress sites with plugins, themes, and custom code.
• Create and update SDLC documentation, including requirements, use cases, data flow, business process flows, Visio diagrams, testing plans, and security impact analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to document user stories and facilitate user acceptance testing.
• Work effectively within an Agile scrum team and cross-functional teams (designers, developers, project managers).
• *Required Qualifications:**
• **Education:** Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Web Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• **Experience:** Minimum 3-4 years in web design and development, preferably in a federal agency setting.
• **Technical Proficiency:**

* Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and JavaScript-based frameworks. * Experience with AWS native tooling as listed in responsibilities. * Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress). * Familiarity with standard web development methodologies, tools, and frameworks. * Applied strong visual design skills for user-centered layouts. * Experience optimizing website performance, accessibility, and security.

• **Soft Skills:**

* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in fast-paced environments. * Experience contributing to projects in an Agile development environment.

• **Clearance:** Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and Common Access Card (CAC).
