Summary
Seeking an IT Specialist to secure federal systems, manage network performance, and resolve cybersecurity issues.
Join our team as an IT Specialist (Cybersecurity/Network Performance) at the GS-12 level. This role focuses on ensuring the security and optimal performance of federal IT systems.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan and coordinate activities to protect IT systems, services, and capabilities.
- Monitor and evaluate vulnerabilities of automated information systems.
- Prevent, assess, and resolve risks related to firewalls and security policies.
- Analyze and evaluate IT network system performance.
- Support technology rollout planning with minimal disruption.
- Apply cybersecurity principles, concepts, and practices within the Information System Security Management (ISSM) program.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in Federal service. This includes experience in planning/coordinating IT system protection, vulnerability monitoring, risk resolution, and IT network performance analysis. Qualifying experience includes paid and unpaid work.
- **Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR) - 2210 Series:** Demonstrated proficiency in the following IT-related competencies:
