IT Specialist (Network)

Join our team as an IT Specialist (Cybersecurity/Network Performance) at the GS-12 level. This role focuses on ensuring the security and optimal performance of federal IT systems.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Plan and coordinate activities to protect IT systems, services, and capabilities.
• Monitor and evaluate vulnerabilities of automated information systems.
• Prevent, assess, and resolve risks related to firewalls and security policies.
• Analyze and evaluate IT network system performance.
• Support technology rollout planning with minimal disruption.
• Apply cybersecurity principles, concepts, and practices within the Information System Security Management (ISSM) program.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in Federal service. This includes experience in planning/coordinating IT system protection, vulnerability monitoring, risk resolution, and IT network performance analysis. Qualifying experience includes paid and unpaid work.
• **Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR) - 2210 Series:** Demonstrated proficiency in the following IT-related competencies:

* **Attention to Detail:** Thorough and conscientious in work performance. * **Customer Service:** Assess needs, provide information/assistance, and resolve issues for clients. * **Oral Communication:** Effectively express information to individuals or groups, make clear presentations, and listen actively. * **Problem Solving:** Identify problems, evaluate information, use sound judgment, and make recommendations.
