Summary
IT Specialist (Network) needed to manage, secure, and optimize network infrastructure, ensuring cybersecurity compliance and recommending tech advancements.
We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist (Network) to manage, secure, and optimize critical network infrastructure. This role involves administering complex network configurations, coordinating essential circuit operations, and ensuring robust cybersecurity compliance. You will also play a key role in evaluating and recommending advanced network technologies to enhance resilience and efficiency.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer network device configuration baselines and manage change control processes.
- Coordinate circuit activation, moves, adds, and changes with service providers.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls and DISA STIGs.
- Ensure continuous Authority to Operate (ATO) posture through ongoing monitoring and artifact readiness.
- Conduct feasibility studies and recommend investments in network technologies (e.g., VoIP, video, SD-WAN, micro-segmentation, encryption).
- *Requirements:**
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in network administration and security.
- Experience must demonstrate proficiency in configuring network devices, managing circuits, implementing cybersecurity controls, and maintaining ATO.
- Familiarity with network technologies such as VoIP, SD-WAN, and encryption is highly desired.
- All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be considered.
