Summary

Seeking a Senior IT Specialist to lead complex software development, architecture, and modernization efforts using cutting-edge technologies.

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient IT professional to lead critical software development and modernization initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical mastery, team leadership, and strategic thinking to deliver solutions in complex hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-functional teams (employees and contractors) to deliver projects in hybrid (on-premise and cloud) environments, managing conflicts and balancing assignments.
  • Oversee complex software architecture and development initiatives from conception to deployment.
  • Apply mastery of software engineering principles, object-oriented languages (Java, C#, Python), and modern web frameworks (.NET, Salesforce, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Angular/Material UI).
  • Utilize expertise in tools such as GitHub/Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, comprehensive testing suites (code quality, security, coverage), and Generative AI.
  • Drive projects using Agile methodologies and associated tools for ideation, ticket management, and documentation.
  • Identify emerging technology trends, perform impact analysis on existing portfolios, and propose modernization and process improvements.
  • Manage acquisition, contract, and budget planning for system implementation, modernization, integration, and maintenance activities.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: A minimum of one year of senior-level IT experience, equivalent to Federal GS-13 or comparable private sector roles. This experience must include proficiency in at least four of the Key Responsibilities listed above.
  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrated mastery of various programming languages, frameworks, development tools, and modern infrastructure (cloud/containers).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage diverse technical teams effectively.
  • Agile Expertise: Solid understanding and application of Agile methodologies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capacity to analyze technological trends and drive strategic modernization efforts.
  • Core Competencies:
