IT Specialist (Applications Software)

We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist (Application Software) to lead complex application development projects. This role involves guiding the full software lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation, to deliver high-quality, performant solutions.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Lead multifunctional software development projects, including analysis, design, development, and implementation for new systems or major enhancements.
• Investigate, evaluate, and select tools and methods to enhance software productivity and quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Plan and coordinate efforts with government and contractor teams for research and development (R&D), technology advancements, and enterprise system engineering.
• Guide application development processes to identify and correct weaknesses, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met.
• Develop innovative solutions utilizing Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and low-code platforms such as SAP and ServiceNow.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, or comparable experience in the private or military sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading software analysis, design, development, and implementation projects.
• Proven ability to investigate and select tools for improving software quality and productivity.
• Experience in planning and coordinating R&D, technology advancements, and developmental engineering for enterprise systems.
• Strong background in developing solutions using APIs and low-code development tools (e.g., SAP, ServiceNow).
• Relevant volunteer experience will be considered.
