Summary
Shape cybersecurity policy, evaluate tools, and implement strategies to strengthen organizational security posture.
- *IT Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCYPLN)**
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Evaluate new cybersecurity tools and platforms against established technical, operational, and security criteria.
- Synthesize evaluation results into actionable recommendations for senior leadership on adoption strategies and risk management.
- Develop detailed implementation proposals, including comprehensive project plans, resource allocations, and deployment timelines.
- Prepare accurate cost analyses, budget justifications, and expenditure forecasts for cybersecurity initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Provide expert consultation and subject matter expertise to various stakeholders, aligning technology decisions with mission objectives.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum one year of specialized experience in cybersecurity, equivalent to the GS-13 level (Federal service, military, or private sector).
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating cybersecurity tools, developing implementation plans, conducting cost analyses, and contributing to policy development and refinement.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to advise leadership on complex cybersecurity matters.
