Job Description
Seeking an IT professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills to provide technical support and develop presentations.
This role involves providing technical support, resolving routine IT issues, and effectively communicating IT information to various audiences.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Ensure accuracy and consistency of IT-related work and data.
* Provide information and routine support for IT products and services to customers.
* Communicate IT system status and basic technical details to both technical and non-technical staff.
* Address routine IT-related issues using standard information sources.
* Develop and deliver presentations or briefs for customers.
**Required Qualifications:**
**Option 1: Education**
* Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Technology Management.
* OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. in one of the above fields.
* OR A degree providing a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the above fields, requiring the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
**Option 2: IT Experience & Core Competencies**
* Demonstrated proficiency in:
* **Attention to Detail:** Reviewing IT work/data for accuracy and completeness.
* **Customer Service:** Providing information on IT products/services and routine support.
* **Oral Communication:** Informing staff of IT system status and communicating basic technical information to non-technical audiences.
* **Problem Solving:** Identifying and resolving routine IT issues using standard sources.
**Additionally Required (for GG-11 level):**
* At least one year of IT-related experience demonstrating immediate success in the position, specifically including:
* Developing presentations or briefs for customers.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft applications.
