IT Cybersecurity Specialist

Join our team as an IT professional specializing in cybersecurity and risk management. We are seeking a skilled individual to perform critical assessments and ensure the integrity of our information systems.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Assess technology areas (networks, endpoint security, vulnerability scanning, DNS, operating systems, databases) using Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Conduct impact and risk assessments based on cybersecurity principles, networking concepts, and security methodologies.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, identifying technical and procedural findings with recommended remediation strategies.
• Implement and utilize risk management processes for effective risk assessment and mitigation.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Demonstrated IT-related experience, specifically applying competencies for a GS-13 level role (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in cybersecurity principles, networking, and security methodologies.
• Experience with risk management processes and audit reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
